And then you think of her
You don’t know the stock market. You don’t know the job market. And you especially don’t like dishonesty. But from the application sent, you know that the global market isn’t doing well.
From companies’ response, from the amount of application. You see that diplomacy. And you called directly to ask the HR, the R&D director, why not just put “this position is only available for our citizens?”
You hate disguise and the fact that you see people trying to find excuse but you see through their struggles. Worst of all, you can’t pretend you know they are lying. And they are embarrassed too.
For you master thesis, you applied for 300. And now, at your age, you are not willing to do that anymore. You insist on your salary, and you insist on your dignity. Because you once reconciled, and it was almost a life lesson that you couldn’t afford.
Lesson learnt is that, you have to insist that you deserve the best.
And so you think of her, that beautiful stranger, who later became good friends of yours in Barcelona, who always brings a good vibe. Sometimes you think you are sisters in another life. You gave her all the paintings you did in Barcelona, because you felt like it.
