ASML interview experience
Dutch is well-known for spoken directly. But not necesssarily for taking opinions seriously. They have double standards, just like me.
I was an intern in Belgium from 2018 to 2019.
And when ASML called me for an interview in the afternoon right before off-work, it was usually exactly the next day. — — — For so many times I had to wake up at 5 am and take the train to Eindhoven, because I don’t drive, and arrive there at 8:30. And waited until my interview at 10 a.m.
No travel reimbusement, according to ASML, all the neighboring countries don’t get reimbursed. — — — Belgium, Germany.
I never understood, because I spent some 120EURO plus bus tickets to the company, and then had nothing to eat nor drink, being humiliated for 1 hour where the interviewer kept watching their clock or asking if I was really Taiwanese, because “how come you could speak French so well”…….”For Europeans, Taiwan and China are the same.”
I just never understood. So I wrote a letter to the C-level, saying that the interns should be reimbused.
He got outrageous, because he didn’t know the intern wasn’t reimbused.
And then I got banned by the HR. Well, how knows? :)
But I don’t care not working in that environment either. Sounds toxic.
