Book Review — Influence, the psychology of persuation by Robert B. Cialdini
The source of this book comes from Buffett’s recommendation. I must admit, I rarely dislike any book, but the content of this book — I sincerely dislike (but it doesn’t mean it’s unreasonable). After all, Einstein was misogynistic, and I’ve read his papers too — but I don’t dislike Einstein. But I don’t like the content of this book. What he is talking about is how to persuade others. Using opaque information, feeding it to the audience in segments, allowing people to be persuaded because of the principle of cognitive dissonance, and then purchase goods or so forth. Introduction complete. Nothing much to say.
